En 1991 el rock explota con la aparici\u00f3n de Nevermind de Nirvana. Lo que la industria intenta vender como el inicio de una nueva era es, en realidad, el final de una d\u00e9cada de autogesti\u00f3n y bandas independientes que, abrazando la \u00e9tica punk, conquistaron Norteam\u00e9rica en los 80 y a toda una generaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En 2015, Benjam\u00edn Villegas (Ripollet, 1982) \u2212m\u00fasico, ilustrador, productor audiovisual y dise\u00f1ador gr\u00e1fico\u2212 viaja a El Paso, Texas, en busca de la historia de ELPASO. Sigue el rastro de una maleta repleta de viejos flyers, fanzines, collages y un par de grabaciones de una banda de punk chicano que cantaba en espa\u00f1ol y que podr\u00eda haber cambiado la historia del rock.<\/p>\n

This is the history of one of the many bands that will never appear in the rock chronology, but that are at the core of all the musical scenes. Groups that earn their respect from the public in small venues, touring by their own means and enjoying music in its essence.<\/em><\/p>\n

In 1991, rock explodes with the appearance of Nirvana’s Nevermind. What the industry tries to sell as the beginning of a new era is, in fact, the end of a decade of self-management and independent bands that, embracing the punk ethic, conquered North America\u00a0and a whole generation in the 80s.<\/em><\/p>\n

In 2015, Benjam\u00edn Villegas (Ripollet, 1982 ) – musician, illustrator, audiovisual producer and graphic designer – travels to El Paso, Texas, in search of the history of ELPASO.
